What is a health coach?
A health coach is a wellness mentor who works with you to achieve your health goals, whether they be physical or mental. Our number one goal is to assist you in becoming healthier and happier across all areas of life. Health coaches are a link between the doctor and the patient. We work with you in areas that doctors are unable to address; career, relationships, exercise, spirituality, diet - we find the root cause of your health problems. It is rare for anyone to get the chance to sit down for one hour and talk to someone about their health and get the attention and support that they not only deserve but also need.
As humans we are so smart that we have out smarted our own intuition, I work with my clients to rebuild trust within themselves and their bodies. Our bodies know exactly what it is needs at any given time, I guide you to re-learn how to listen to your bodies natural signals and find the food and exercise that best support your individual body and personal life.
Why one on one coaching? It'd be selfish and immature of me to offer the same advice to every individual, everyone is different, we've got our own lives and our own bodies, what works for one may not work for another. We live in a society where we are bombarded by media and information making it hard to know and find what is truly right, and the answer is that there really is no right and wrong, yes there are guidelines and that is all they are, guidelines, not set-in-stone rules. Your diet and exercise should work for you and your lifestyle, not the other way around, and it shouldn't be your number one health priority, food is not the only thing that nourishes our body.
